STAPLE – uSer inclusiviTy towards mArginalized grouPs and non-digitaL nativEs
STAPLE aims to promote the social, economic, and civic inclusion of vulnerable individuals—particularly non-digital natives such as migrants—by facilitating access to and use of digital tools. The project addresses key barriers to inclusion, such as limited digital and linguistic skills, difficulty in accessing public services, and fragmentation of social networks, which are often exacerbated in peripheral and Alpine areas.
Through a strong and diverse partnership of public administrations, third-sector organisations, universities, and research centres, STAPLE will test inclusive digital solutions that respond to real needs on the ground. The project will combine top-down support and bottom-up co-design to ensure that tools and actions are accessible, multilingual, and user-friendly.
Over 36 months, STAPLE will:
Strengthen knowledge and exchange of good practices to support inclusive digitalisation and social innovation (WP1);
Implement pilot actions that enhance cooperation between stakeholders and improve access to services for vulnerable groups, especially in rural and Alpine territories (WP2);
Develop policy recommendations and create multi-stakeholder networks to promote long-term, systemic change (WP3).
By improving digital access and autonomy, STAPLE empowers marginalised individuals to participate more actively in society and fosters more inclusive, resilient Alpine communities.
