Development of Digital Education and Skills of Ukrainian Refugees for Sustainable Integration and In
At present, new technologies play a critical role in all sectors of the economy and have an impact on interactions within society and, thereby the labour market. The changing digital landscape forces workers to continually update their skills to remain competitive in the labour market. In the United States, 82 percent of middle-skilled jobs are digital-intensive, and workers with digital skills have higher remuneration. Thus, countries should update their refugee skills to ensure that everyone can participate fully in the economy and that employers in all sectors can hire the necessary digitally skilled employees. The relevant regulatory and institutional framework of host countries will contribute to it. For this purpose, a systematic analysis of existing integration practices in European Union (EU) host countries, Austria and Croatia, will be carried out, with special attention to countries’ training opportunities in digital skills for Ukrainian refugees. The project activity will include selecting and establishing courses on relevant digital skills in blending education mode across partner countries. The project activity will ensure more efficient integration into the social life of hosted countries and will help people find decent jobs where digital skills are required. The project is supported by the Federal Ministry of Labor and Economy of Austria.
