We drafted a project idea, but we are looking for a Lead Partner or partners willing to collaborate and take care of the consortium set up and drafting of the proposal. We can contribute with our expertise, supporting the application process.
Project idea:
The Alpine region is facing a dual demographic and digital transition. The ageing population is increasing, particularly in rural and mountainous areas, while digital transformation is redefining access to public services. However, public administrations (PAs) across the Alpine space often lack the capacity and tools to govern digital inclusion effectively, especially for older citizens who risk being excluded from key health, administrative, and social services.
Despite EU-level initiatives such as IDHEAL, local authorities struggle to translate digital empowerment strategies into place-based public policies that are co-designed and inclusive of ageing citizens.
AGE-GOV ALPS aims to strengthen transnational governance mechanisms to make digital public services more accessible and inclusive for older people in the Alpine space. By capitalising on IDEAHL outcomes, the project will co-develop, with PAs and citizens, participatory governance models and practical tools to support age-friendly digital transformation in public service delivery.
Main activities:
– Transnational assessment of the governance capacities of Alpine public administrations to address digital inclusion of older adults.
– Adaptation of IDEAHL tools and guidelines for local public use, co-designed with civil society and ageing citizens.
– Capacity-building programme for Alpine PAs, focusing on digital accessibility, civic participation, and interdepartmental coordination.
– Participatory governance workshops involving elderly citizens, local stakeholders, and public officers to define micro-strategies.
– Drafting of a Joint Action Plan for inclusive digital public governance in the Alpine region.
