About

We are CNR-IRET (Italian National Research Council – Institute of Research on Terrestrial Ecosystems).
Our team combines long-term expertise in ecosystem ecology, grassland and forest dynamics, biodiversity assessment, remote sensing, soil biogeochemistry and stakeholder engagement.
We are looking for transnational partners: research centres, parks, regional authorities, NGOs and innovative SMEs, interested in projects on mountain grassland abandonment, rewilding, nature-based solutions and ecosystem-service valuation.
We can contribute cutting-edge analytical facilities (soil fertility, plant physiology, C fluxes), remote-sensing, and experience in co-designing management guidelines with local communities.
