LEA Pomurje (Slovenia) is a regional organization that takes care for promotion and acceleration of the continuous improvement of energy efficiency and speeds up the deployment of renewable energy sources usage in the region with the aim to maximize the local energy self-sufficiency of the region. The basic guidelines of operation and implementation of activities is the promotion of RES (renewable energy sources) and RUE (efficient use of energy) as well as environmental protection at all levels and following the requirements and guidelines at the international, national and regional level in the field of energy. LEA Pomurje is increasingly realizing its set goals to become a key programming, implementation, negotiation and representative institution in field of enforcement of RES and RUE and sustainable development of the region. The core work is the support of the 27 municipalities (entire Pomurje region) by EE & RES activities.
Our closed and present activities and projects can be roughly classified into three groups: (1) Projects for the preparation of strategic documents in the field of the energy in Pomurje, as well as in micro-areas; (2) Project and activities for implementation of strategic documents; (3) Projects financed from various EU programs, such as Horizon 2020, Interreg Danube, Interreg MED, Interreg Central Europe, …
