About

The Chamber of Trades and Crafts Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes (CMAR ARA) is a public administrative body that represents and supports craft businesses across the entire regional territory.

Established in 2021 following the merger of the 12 departmental Chambers of Trades and Crafts, CMAR ARA now operates under a single regional chamber model, while maintaining a strong local presence.

It relies on a network of 26 reception points across the departments and employs 650 staff members. Each department retains its own territorial CMA, ensuring local, accessible services for all craft businesses, regardless of their sector or status (new entrepreneurs, business owners, successors, apprentices, etc.).

CMAR ARA offers comprehensive support, from business creation to transmission, including training, management, business development, digital transition, innovation, and funding opportunities.

It is a key player in the region’s economic development, working closely with artisans and local authorities, and plays a structuring role in promoting craftsmanship, fostering apprenticeships, and enhancing the competitiveness of craft enterprises.
