About

The Department for culture and sports – Friuli Venezia Giulia Autonomous Region (FVGAR) is responsible for the protection and enhancement of the Regional cultural heritage as well as the promotion of cultural activities.

FVGAR adopted, with the regional resolution n. 2442/2018, the Regional Action Plan to refine policies and instruments capable of promoting the growth of cultural and creative sectors at regional level.

The strong expertise of FVGAR on the implementation and management of EU projects that are supporting culture and creativity has been demonstrated through several projects. In particular, our Department has participated in Interreg MED projects (SMATH, ChiMERA), in Interreg Central EU projects (SACHE) in Interreg EU projects (CRE:HUB), in Interreg Adrion projects (CREATURES) Italia-Austria projects (CROSSINNO) and Italia-Slovenia (DIVA, PRIMIS). At the moment, FVGAR is involved in several EU projects in the frame of Interreg Europe, Interreg Italia-Slovenia, Italia-Croatia and Italia-Austria.

The Department intends to increase the knowledge gained from previous projects in the field of governance, by enhancing cooperation and developing joint solutions, projects or strategies to make European territory more innovative, sustainable, and inclusive thanks to the role of culture and CCIs (Cultural and Creative Industries).

Collaborating with partners from the Alpine Space Area, the Department would like to share knowledge and acquire new competences in rethinking the role of culture and tourism to face new challenges and deal with the complexity of today’s global changes.

We are interested in being involved in news partnerships.
