Established in 1999, ALDA* European Association of Local Democracy is a non-profit organization dedicated to advancing good governance and citizen participation at the local level in Europe, its Neighbourhood, and all around the world. Focused on themes such as environmental and climate sustainability, civic engagement, digital and innovation, social inclusion, gender equality and human rights, migration, youth empowerment and education, and territorial and local development, ALDA employs a method of multilateral decentralized cooperation, fostering partnerships between local authorities and civil society actors. Moreover, ALDA’s network counts more than 250 network.
