  • I’m writing on behalf of ALDA – the European Association for Local Democracy, an international non-profit organization established in 1999 at the initiative of the Council of Europe. Headquartered in Strasbourg, ALDA promotes good governance and citizen participation at the local level, with a strong focus on multilateral decentralized cooperation. ALDA coordinates a network of more than 350 members, including local authorities, civil society organizations, academic institutions, and public bodies, all working together to foster inclusive, democratic, and sustainable communities. Our work is organized around seven thematic hubs: Civic Engagement and Democracy; Youth Empowerment and Education; Migration and Social Inclusion; Environment and Climate Action; Gender Equality, Human Rights and Inclusion; Digital Transformation and Innovation; and Territorial and Local Development.
We have solid expertise, and we have successfully implemented over 500 projects funded by the European Union and other major donors. We are also involved in several projects focused on digitalization, such as Encloud (Interreg Central Europe), which promotes the use of Open Data and IoT sensor networks, and OUT4INGOV (Alpine Space – Small Scale), which aims to engage a new generation in addressing out-migration and fostering inclusive governance. In addition, we work on various initiatives related to social innovation and the inclusion of vulnerable groups. You can find more information about our initiatives in the “Projects” section of our website.

Should you be interested in learning more about our work, we would be happy to arrange a call. Likewise, we would be very interested in hearing more about your project and exploring potential synergies.

    Best regards,
